

As for the tactical battle, there aren’t that many varieties of maps. It would be much cooler if we could see an appearance change whenever our city grew, or we built something new. When there are many enemies on the map, it can take such a long time! For the 4X part, the cities all look pretty much the same and have the same structures to be built no matter which race it belongs to. I preferred the not simultaneous option, but then you have to wait for the pc to play. It’s turn based and you can choose between simultaneous turns or not. I have only played the Elven Court campaign, so this review is only for the single player experience. That said, although I love this combination, they could improve on it a bit. Whenever you get tired of micromanaging your empire, there is a very cool tactical battle waiting for you. 90h PlayedAge of Wonders III is an amazing combination of a 4x strategy game with tactical rpg battles.
